Writing on Instagram, Lynn's sister-in-law said: "A little life update- from Lynne's sister in law, Rachel (as instructed by Lynne herself.)

"I appreciate a lot of you have been messaging Lynne and wondering where she has been lately. Unfortunately, a week ago she took unwell and it turned out to be a sizeable bleed on the brain which was two aneurysms.

"She has now had surgery and stents put in her brain and is recovering in the best care possible."

She continued: "Lynne still has a long way to go and will be in hospital for a while and is unable to communicate properly at the moment whilst she is recovering.

"She appreciates all the love and support and will be in touch with all the individuals that have reached out to her once she is better.

Recently we shared the story of a young Scots woman with multiple brain aneurysms which could rupture at any time says she feels like “a prisoner” and can’t stop worrying if she is going to die every day.

Amber Ford, 31, from South Lanarkshire, described herself as “healthy” before she became unwell in 2018. She was first diagnosed with mumps and Bell’s palsy after waking up one morning to find her face was “all twisted” and says her health “hasn’t been right” since.

In 2020, she started experiencing concerning symptoms such as extreme fatigue, bad headaches, disturbances to her vision and waking up “choking” on her own vomit. After raising these issues with a GP and a hospital, both of which she did not wish to name because of ongoing treatment in their care, the former customer service worker felt she was not being taken seriously.

In April 2024, an MRI scan revealed up to three aneurysms in Amber’s brain – but a procedure to investigate further could cause serious complications, such as a stroke.

Amber is now faced with the prospect of a risky surgery to cut off blood supply to the aneurysms which could cause a haemorrhage, leave her permanently disabled, or dead, or she could “do nothing” knowing they could rupture at any time.

She has recently found a US doctor specialising in complex and rare aneurysm cases such as hers, prompting her to launch a GoFundMe page in the hope she can raise enough money to travel for treatment. You can read more here.
