Summary
- Xur is back in Destiny 2 with new gear for players to explore for a limited time.
- For exotic armor, Xur has Heart of Inmost Light, Starfire Protocol, and St0mp-EE5.
- Xur's exotic weapons include a new Hawkmoon, Thunderlord, Sunshot, and Sweet Business.
Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. It's been an interesting week for Destiny 2 players as not only has Act 2 arrived alongside Guardian Games, but the weekly update also added something which wasn't quite ready. The planned Act 3 activity Rite of the Nine launched earlier than intended in Destiny 2, alongside new weapons with placeholder mods and missing textures.
While Bungie quickly disabled that mode, players have also been taking part in Destiny 2's Guardian Games for 2025. While it still involves lots of farming for Medallions, this year's version of the event adds a new mode called Rushdown, basically a boss rush that escalates in difficulty while also offering better rewards.

It's also time for the exotic merchant Xur, who has returned with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of March 14, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.

Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are hanging out and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley hiding Xur is to the right.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur's Exotic Armor

Starfire Protocol - Warlock chest armor
Exotic Perk:
-
Fusion Harness - Fusion Grenades have an additional charge and recharge from empowered weapon damage, with empowered weapon final blows granting more energy. Defeating targets with Fusion Grenades grant Rift energy.
It's really not a great roll this week as the total value comes in at a very low 62 and features a higher than necessary mobility stat. Not worth buying.
Stat Values (62 Total):
- Mobility +15
- Resilience +3
- Recovery +16
- Discipline +14
- Intellect +12
- Strength +2

St0mp-EE5 - Hunter leg armor
Exotic Perk:
-
Hydraulic Boosters - Increases sprint speed and slide distance, and improves High Jump, Strafe Jump, and Triple Jump. Take less damage from targets when airborne.
For players looking for exotic gear that can help with platforming, the "Stompees" are one of the best options. Absolutely worth picking up, though it's worth noting that these should really only be used for difficult jumping or platforming sections and aren't great for combat.
Stat Values (66 Total):
- Mobility +17
- Resilience +10
- Recovery +7
- Discipline +10
- Intellect +10
- Strength +12

Heart of Inmost Light - Titan chest armor
Exotic Perk:
-
Overflowing Light - Using an ability (grenade, melee, or Barricade) empowers the other two abilities. Empowered means abilities have faster regen, melees and grenades do more damage, and Barricades have more hit points.
After being on the bottom last week, Titans come out with the highest rolled exotic this week, though it unfortunately comes with the caveat that the mobility stat is way too high at 25. It's a good exotic that has a not-so-great roll this week.
Stat Values (67 total):
- Mobility +25
- Resilience +3
- Recovery +7
- Discipline +6
- Intellect +6
- Strength +20
